The Elysian Fields world has several races:
- Human
- Halfling
- Dwarf
- Elf
- Ogre
- Orc
- *Goblin
* You can't actualy play a goblin though - they are rather pathetic and would'nt survive long.
As usual each of the races has their traits: Humans being rather unspectacular, Dwarves being short and stout, Elves tall and agile, Ogres big and stupid, Orcs big, stupid and selfish.
The players have characteristic traits:
- WS - Weapon Skill (how well you wield hand-to-hand weapons)
- BS - Ballistic Skill (how well you can shoot ranged weapons)
- MS - Machine Skill (how well you can operate machines)
- ST - Strength (how physicaly strong you are)
- TO - Toughness (how physicaly tough you are to inflict damage)
- DX - Dexterity (how dextrous/agile/nimble you are including ability to dodge)
- CH - Charisma (how well people are charmed by your personality)
- CN - Constitution (how well you recover)
- IN - Intelligence (ability to learn and interpret new information)
- WI - Wisdom (common sense and judgement)
You can get this information ingame by typing 'traits' - typicaly traits have a value between 0 and 100000.
Your strength will also affect how much you can carry, and how it affects your ability to move. The stronger you are, the more you will be able to carry without suffering a penalty. Your constitution will affect how fast it affects you once you are overburdened. Carrying things for long periods of time will result in you getting stronger. Not carrying things and not doing physical things in general will affect your strength in a negative fasion, although slower than the reverse. The same goes for most other traits - the more you use them, the better at them you become.
